Located just a short walk from the Winter Palace of the Bogd Khan, Zaisan Hill is the site of a memorial to the soldiers killed in WWII.
Approaching the hill, I stumbled across a large Buddha statue along the path.
Then at the foot of the hill, I had a quick look around a monument of a tank.
Hiking up a LOT of steps, I eventually reached the top of the hill. Here stands an impressive circular memorial, inside which are depicted scenes of friendship between Mongolia and the USSR. There are also incredible views over the city.
