Every evening at 6pm, the National Academic Drama Theatre puts on a performance of traditional music and dance. Although the ticket price did seem a little steep, I had really enjoyed the small performance of traditional music at my hostel the other night, and really wanted to see the full spectacle.

The performance itself was incredible – not just for the beautiful, and sometimes rather eerie, music, but also for the amazing costumes and dance. It consisted of a wide range of performances – from group dances to an extraordinary contortionist.

Sadly I was unable to take any photos to share with you here, but I’d definitely highly recommend the show to any visitors in Ulaanbaatar.
