These incredible tombs located just behind the Kasbah Mosque hold the remains of the Saadi dynasty and household. The main courtyard is a lovely break from the hustle and bustle of the city, and the detail of the architecture inside the tombs is stunning. In particular, the twelve columned room containing the remains of Ahmad al-Mansur (pictured) is worth checking out.

It was rather hard to find the tombs, involving a bit of a detour via several artisan shops – although the locals were very happy to point us in the right direction and I think there was an easier route if we’d actually looked at the map!
