This museum of Moroccan arts, set in a palace very similar in style to the Bahia Palace although on a less impressive scale, exhibits photographs of the city over the ages as well as some fascinating artifacts. These include examples of traditional carpets, pottery, wooden carving and jewellery.

The palace itself if fairly impressive, although if you’re pressed for time I’d recommend the Bahia Palace instead. The two are located just a five minute walk from each other in the centre of the Medina so could easily be visited together, each taking around 45 mins to visit.

    1. I’d definitely recommend it as a short break for some warm weather! We spent 6 days there, but to be honest if I did it again I’d probably spend just two or three days in the city itself then go exploring the Atlas Mountains or another city for a few days 🙂 Perhaps a good long weekend holiday?
