This fantastic museum contains pottery, sculptures, and other artefacts found in and around the Acropolis site. They are accompanied by detailed information and labels (Greek and English only) to enable visitors to place the items in context.

These artefacts in themselves make the museum worth visiting, enabling you to admire their details and artistry up close. However, what I enjoyed even more was looking through the glass floors down onto the remains of the ancient city below.

While I had to rush round the museum in just half an hour, ideally I could have spent twice that time here really appreciating the sculptures and taking in all the historical notes.
