After exploring the Science Museum for the best part of the afternoon, we headed next door to the Natural History Museum.

Sadly major renovation work was being done and so my favourite exhibit, the huge dinosaur, was unavailable to view. However, we still spent an enjoyable hour or so exploring the rest of the museum.

We started with the section on rocks and minerals, which had been really well redone since I last visited, with the small wooden trays replaced with bright and interesting displays.

Wandering around further, we came across a huge ammonite fossil.

Next, we headed towards the marine life section, where the huge blue wale and dolphins are.

There were also several other areas we visited along the way, such as on the history of Homo sapiens and insects – the museum is huge and very diverse!
