Continuing on the theme of diverse cultures in Sofia, our next stop was this Jewish synagogue. Quiet and unassuming from there outside, it was well worth the visit.

Inside, it was interesting to compare the decor with those of the other religious buildings we had visited that day. The walls were painted darker, more somber colours than the mosque, but with considerably less ornate gold decorations compared to the orthodox churches.
