Although we didn’t enter this Ottoman mosque, I really loved its design from the outside. The brickwork is stunning, with an unusual square based pattern. They had also planted some lovely palm trees and set the mosque next to a small park area, making me feel as if I had been transported to another country altogether.

The domes were also beautifully coloured, and the slender minaret (unfortunately impossible to photograph due to the surrounding foliage) gracefully reaching up for the sky.

Apparently it is possibly to enter if you wish, but given time restraints we headed onwards.
